Item Details:
Computer work is no longer a problem with The Tucson Computer Reader. This dual powered reader allows you to read printed material from the bottom of your lens, and use your middle vision to read and work from your computer screen. The anti-glare coating reduces eye fatigue, while the two-powered lens reduces neck and back strain.
The Tucson is a lightweight frame with spring hinges to provide a comfortable fit and includes a brown leatherette pouch to keep your glasses from harm.
Please note: theses readers contain 2 powers. The bottom power is for regular reading, while the top power is used for computer work. The top power is approximately half of the power you select for the bottom half of the glasses.
To order these unique dual powered computer glasses, simply select the power you typically use for reading magazines, books, and newspapers from the drop down menu.

Good for distance vision |
I found that the glasses work good for reading or distance vision. When I try to use them with my computer, the image is still out of focus.

The bifocal is a bit intrusive |
The lower part of the bifocal is a bit too large and gets in the way of viewing through the top.

Computer glasses are a great idea |
As far as I know, these "computer" glasses with two different magnifications are a new idea. They work for me. I'll bet a lot of boomers will find them very useful.

Nice Dual Function |
Excellent concept, semi magnified for viewing the computer screen, fully magnified for reading. Only suggestion would be to offer this in a progressive.

Excellent Product |
Two years ago, I spent more than $250 for a pair of prescription bifocals. For a tenth of that cost, I have glasses that work as well if not better. Nuff said.

Light Duty |
They work perfectly as described. I can wear them all day with out having to take them off. When I need to read closely I look down through the reading lense. The only problem is that they you have to handle them carefully or you'll pop out the lenses. I'm getting ready to crazy glue them in.

they are okay |
The glasses come off as cheap, but they they do the job. the bifocal portion is not a smooth transition and the finish on the frames is cheap-looking. They do the job and can't really complain about the performance/effectiveness of the product. The durability remains to be seen. Considering the cost, I did expect to get something with a little better quality 'look' and I expected some sort of case. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, just wish I could have paid less...

Upsidedown bigocal! |
It's great having two pairs of readers in one and the overall quality is very good. However, the bifocal area is upside down! Normally the bifocal area is flat across the top so you have a larger reading area up toward the center of the lens. On these the top of the bifocal area is round giving you a very small field of view and the flat part is down at the very bottom of the lens! This requires you to look through the bottom of the lens for a better view and takes a lot of getting used to.

Another Use |
I am far sighted enough so that I need 3.00 for reading, but also use the 1.5 for distance and driving. These glasses are perfect for my daily wear - don't have to carry 1.5s and 3.0s around all the time!

Amazing! |
I grade a lot of papers in science, doing the calculations in Excel, and checking the student's work. Afterwards, I enter grades into Excel too. Going between papers up close to a screen farther away and too high for my bifocals/progressives was always frustrating. These "computer glasses" are the perfect solution. The lower part is great for the up-close papers, and the slightly weaker part is for clearly seeing the screen. The very slight yellow tint seems to help reduce the eye-strain of looking at the backlit monitor long periods too. I bought three more pairs to have at work, for reading, and for music rehearsals. These are the best glasses for computer work.

Good product |
The glasses work as promised, although there is some getting used to them. The upper portion is relatively small and, while reading the computer screen, the line of sight easily gets into bottom fully magnifying portion. After about a week, I found myself to "automatically" move my head down while reading large documents on the computer screen. Other than that, it is a good product and minor redesign would make it great.

The Tucson Computer Reader |
These glasses are not what I expected. Firstly they are bifocal and I thought they weren\'t. Secondly, I see glare in a refection when I\'m on web-cam. This may or may not be the lens\' fault, but mine, for not knowing what coating I\'m looking for. I must say the style is fantastic and looks really great on me. Thats' it.
