Happy Monday and Happy March! Can you believe we’re already in the third month of 2010? It’s going fast!
Today we’re going to take a look at the Jessica Sun Readers, a pair of reading sunglasses designed to keep you seeing clearly and looking great. When I buy sunglasses, I tend to gravitate towards certain styles: I look for a light plastic frame, substantial enough that my sunglasses won’t break easily when I treat them roughly (as I inevitably will) but not thick enough that the plastic overwhelms the lenses. I tend to go for rounded lenses to complement my square face shape and usually pick a tortoise or brown frame that will bring out the tones in my hair. The result is a classic, modern look that doesn’t draw unnecessary attention but will look great in any situation. (For more information on face shapes and glasses, check out our sister site, Sunglass Warehouse).
The Jessica Sun Readers are exactly the kind of sunglasses I would grab right off the rack.
The simple-yet-classy design works for a variety of face shapes – the lenses are not completely oval or round (which avoids the John Lennon look), but have a nicely rounded shape that makes the glasses interesting while keeping them classic. The black frame would look great on anybody, but the Jessica comes in other colors, too, including a dark pink and tortoise. I think if I were feeling particularly fashion-adventurous, I would go for the white frame. It looks
especially summery to me – can’t you see yourself sporting these shades while wearing a pretty summer dress?
The construction of these glasses is solid – they don’t feel flimsy or fragile, and they seem as if they’ll stand up to being sat on in the car or thrown into a purse. Plus, the Jessica comes in reading powers ranging from +1.00 to +3.00, and at a sale price of $13.56, they’re an affordable addition to your warm-weather accessories collection. Check ‘em out, and let me know which color you like best!
Have a great week!
